Sushi Bar Game Review

Sushi Bar Game Background

Sushi Bar is a simple restaurant simulator set in a Japanese sushi restaurant. Make sushi according to your customers’ preferences and put them on the conveyor. Serve as many customers as you can to meet your quota before the timer expires.

This game was developed by Zygomatic.

How to Play Sushi Bar

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers.

On the bottom row of the welcome screen, select Play on the upper left to open the level selection screen. On the level selection screen, select a level number to begin.

To make a piece of sushi, select the rice and other ingredients on either side of the screen, then select the hands button below the tray on the middle left side of the screen. If you make a mistake, select the X button to clear the tray. The sushi will roll to the customer at a regular speed. Serve as many customers as you can to finish the level.

Your web browser automatically saves your game progress. Select high scores on the lower left to view your best scores. If you want to clear your previous game data, select the gear button, then select the reset button on the bottom center of the options screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Check the guide on the left side of the screen to see which ingredients combine to form a specific piece of sushi.

There are 60 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve already beaten.

Customers have a diminishing amount of patience. They start with 5 hearts, representing full patience, which quickly decays. you are unlikely to serve a customer with a full five hearts throughout most of the game. Customers who lose all their hearts lose all their patience and leave.

You only have a limited amount of time to serve the customers. Track your remaining time using the timer bar on the top right corner. Meet the profit quota shown on the top center of the screen before the timer runs out to beat the level.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Pay close attention to the appearance of the sushi roll ordered by the customer. This will help you make the rolls if you don’t have time to check the guide.

You have a limited number of ingredients on stock. Make sure to check your ingredients to make sure you still have it. If you run out of ingredients, select the phone on the bottom right corner to order more.

Educational Aspects

The game visually introduces young players to the ingredients that go into sushi (though it doesn’t label them). The game hones a player’s visual short-term memory and pattern recognition abilities.

Player Age Recommendations

This game is suited for older school-aged children and above. We recommend this game for fans of restaurant sims and Japanese culture and cuisine.
