Supermarket Sort is a grocery-themed sorting puzzle game. Move the products around so that identical products occupy their own shelves. Sort all the shelves out before the timer expires.

How to Play Supermarket Sort

To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers.

On the welcome screen, select Play on the center right to begin. Select Help on the center right to open the game’s tutorial.

Select a shelf to pick up an item. Only the items on the rightmost edge of the left screen and the leftmost edges of the right screen can be picked up. Once an item is picked up, place it either on an empty shelf or a shelf with a similar item. Repeat the process until all the items are sorted.

If you find yourself stuck, select the reset button below the timer on the right side of the screen. You have until the timer expires to finish the level.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Levels are unlocked sequentially. Once you finish a level, you cannot replay it anymore unless you restart the game. There are 10 levels in this game.

You earn 100 points for every shelf you successful sort. You earn bonus points depending on how fast you finish the level. The quicker you finish, the more bonus points you earn. Your score is cumulative; the score you earned in one level is added to your total score.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Be extra careful when you sort the packages. Once a pair of identical items have been placed together in a shelf, they will move together as a pair, and so on. When 4 items are placed on the shelf, it is considered complete and will not be moveable anymore. Try not to merge items together prematurely as you won’t be able to separate them anymore afterward.

Grocery items can only be moved to shelves where they can fit. When planning your moves, make sure there’s ample room to move a group of items afterward before grouping them together.

Don’t be in too much of a rush to fill in a shelf or move an item because you might still need them to move other items.

If you find yourself stuck or otherwise unable to solve the puzzle right away, just reset and try again.

This game tests players’ spatial logic skills by challenging them to sort items under a time limit. Players are encouraged to think strategically as quickly as they can.
