Smiling Glass 2 Game Review
Smiling Glass 2 Game Background
Smiling Glass 2 is a container-filling physics puzzle game and the sequel to Smiling Glass. Your goal is to fill up the glass somewhere in the level through carefully timed releases from the faucets throughout the level. Like its predecessor, it was developed by Demonte Maximiliano for QKY Game Studio.
How to Play Smiling Glass 2
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers. Select the play button at the center of the welcome screen to load the level selection screen. On the level selection screen, select the number of the level you want to play to begin.
Select anywhere on the screen to open the faucets. Deselect to stop. Repeat this as many times as you can until the glass is full or you run out of water. Beat the level by filling the glass with water up to the level indicated by the dashed line.
Basic Gameplay Advice
There are 40 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten.
You only have a limited amount of water to fill the glass, which is indicated by the meter on the top center of the screen. The water is wasted each time it hits spikes or spills. Time your releases so most of the water goes into the glass.
The challenge in most levels is that there’s no clear path for the water past a small moment where everything aligns. In most levels, the spikes, platforms, portals, or faucets move. Wait until a clear path emerges before releasing water.
If you fail to fill up the glass to the desired level, select the reset button close to the top left corner of the screen.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
There is a considerable difference in intensity between mouse clicks and finger taps in this game. Mouse clicks pour more water but don’t spray it as far, which could be disadvantageous in later levels. We recommend playing this game on a touchscreen device.
Pay attention to the way everything moves in the level. Learn exactly when the faucets, ramps, and portals align to bring water to the glass with little waste. Knowing the movement patterns lets you know how long you have to release water.
To conserve water, release it in short bursts. This minimizes the likelihood of spillage, especially when you only have a brief moment where you have a clear shot of the glass.
Educational Aspects
Like its predecessor, the game teaches players the value of patience and careful, split-second timing. To clear each level, players must wait until the right moment, then move quickly to make the best of it. Moreover, they are encouraged to choose moves that conserve limited resources, a vital real-world skill.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suitable for players ranging from school-aged children to adults. We recommend it for fans of tap-timing physics puzzle games and for those who need to learn the value of careful timing.
