Smiling Glass Game Review
Smiling Glass Game Background
Smiling glass is a tap-timing puzzle game where you must fill in a glass to the correct level. Choose the right moment to open the faucet and let the water flow to minimize spillage.
The game was developed by Demonte Maximiliano of QKY Games.
How to Play Smiling Glass
To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers.
Left click or tap anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen. On the welcome screen, left click or tap anywhere to begin. This will load the level selection screen. Choose any level to start playing.
To open the faucet, select the screen. Do this as many times as you can until you run out of water or the glass is filled. To beat the level, you must fill the glass to the level marked by the dashed line before you run out of water.
Basic Gameplay Advice
You only have a limited amount of water to fill the glass. This is indicated by the meter on the top center of the screen. Your goal is to get as much of the water into the glass with every release.
Past the first level, you will need to time your releases so that most of the water flows to the glass. In most levels, either a barrier moves or the faucet itself does. Wait until the right moment before releasing the water.
If you fail to fill up the glass, select the reset button on the top left corner of the screen to try again.
The game has 40 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Pay attention to the way the objects move in the level. Find the path that will bring the water down to the glass and see how long it takes the moving parts to pass through it. This will help you determine how long you need to select and hold to get as much water down the path as possible.
In particularly difficult levels, consider releasing water in short bursts. A continuous flow will increase the likelihood of water droplets spilling away from the intended target, which is something you must avoid if you don’t have a clear shot.
Educational Aspects
This game underscores the importance patience and careful timing. Players must choose the ideal time to release the water to fill up the glass with little waste.
