Basic Gameplay Advice
The game has 60 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Select a level number on the level selection screen to play it. You can replay any of the game’s levels without issue.
You have the option of collecting stars. In many levels, you can collect stars on the way to the finish line, while in others, you must look for them in branching paths located away from the finish line. Collecting stars is key to completing the game. You must collect 3 stars per level for a total of 180 total stars.
The two main hazards in the level are falling off and crashing. You can crash just by flipping over. Avoid falls by accelerating enough before going off a ramp. Another threat, swinging spiked pendulums, appear in later levels. You must time your moves right to get past them without getting hit.
There are 5 vehicles in this game. You can unlock the remaining 4 by reaching the appropriate level. The wheelchair unlocks at Level 8, the tractor unlocks at Level 24, the moped unlocks at Level 36, and the all-terrain vehicle unlocks at Level 48.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Explore the level thoroughly. Make sure to check branching paths to collect any stars that might appear by the wayside.
Signs tell you where to go. They can lead you to branching paths or tell you when to make an abrupt change in direction. Although you can drive past some signs, you can hit the ones that tell you to change direction. Hitting a sign too hard can cause you to crash.
Exercise caution when moving around. There are times when you need to slow down and take it easy and times that you must go full steam ahead. As a rule, speed is necessary to cross chasms but is dangerous around shorter platforms or paths with swinging pendulums.
Once you’re airborne, the vehicle rotates in the direction you’re moving (usually clockwise if you’re driving forward). Tilting your vehicle in the opposite direction in mid-air is the key to avoiding crashes while jumping from one platform to the next. Some levels also need you to fall down to a lower platform. Falling straight down will cause your vehicle to tilt downwards. To offset this, tilt the vehicle to the left or right as needed.
