Ovo Game Background

Ovo is a timed stick person-themed platform game developed by Dedra Games. Your goal in this game is to finish as many levels as quickly as you can.

How to Play Ovo

On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin. This game is available in four languages (American English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and European Spanish). Select the flag button on the welcome screen to switch languages.

For desktops, you can use the arrow keys to move:

• Press the down arrow to slide in the direction you’re facing.
• Switch directions twice while moving horizontally to run.
• Press the up arrow to jump.
• Press the up arrow followed by the down arrow to stomp on glass.
• Press the up and down arrows while moving horizontally to dive.
• Stomp twice, then jump to wave dash.

When loaded on touchscreen devices, the game provides you with a set of arrow buttons on the bottom row that function the same as their keyboard counterparts.

Your web browser automatically saves your best time and game progress. If you want to clear your previous progress, select Restart on the welcome screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

Your goal is to finish each level as quickly as possible. The moment the timer starts, get moving. Make your way to the flag at the end to beat the level and load the next one. The timer continues throughout the levels you play until you quit. Each time you quit and reload the level, the timer restarts to zero.

Coin collecting is optional. The coins appear as large circles with a C in the middle, reminiscent of copyright symbols. To collect them, just move toward them.

There are 61 levels in this game, most of which are unlocked sequentially. Level 61 (called Level 99 in-game) exists to help players practice advanced moves. You can play each of the levels you’ve already beaten individually.

Each level unlocks a new set of hazards, some of which are as follows:

• Bottomless pits
• Lasers
• Spikes
• Cannon shots

These can be found in various arrangements throughout each level. If you hit any of these hazards, you die and must restart the level from the beginning. The clock will reset when this happens.

You can use trampolines to bolster your jumps.

As you play, you’ll unlock one of several achievements. Select the trophy button on the welcome screen to open the achievements screen. Here, you will find all the achievement tokens and whether you’ve already unlocked them. Unlocking achievements also unlocks new skins from the customization screen. To go to the customization screen, select the circle button on the welcome screen.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

There are three tiers of speed in this game. The slowest tier is walking. The next tier comprises sliding, jumping, running, and diving. The fastest tier comprises super jumps and wave dashes. To maximize your speed, move using the second and third tier speeds as often as you can rather than walking.

Many of the fastest moves in this game require stringent practice to master. Practice in either Level 1, Level 99, or the character customization screen.

Educational Aspects

This game hones hand-eye coordination and motor skills. It also helps develop muscle memory and quick thinking. To move quickly, players must use several combinations of moves in rapid succession.
