Open Restaurant Game Review
Open Restaurant Game Background
This is an idle tapping restaurant simulator that puts you in the shoes of a server who’s on their own. Seat customers, take orders, and serve meals to as many customers as you can. Earn enough money before the time limit to continue playing.
The game was developed by Mohammad Masri.
How to Play Open Restaurant
Select Begin on the welcome screen to get started. To select, left click with your mouse or tap on the touchscreen with your fingers.
Your goal is to single-handedly manage the restaurant in time. Begin by selecting the menu at the front of the restaurant and find an empty table for the arriving guest. Select the guest’s table to take their order. Select the kitchen window and select the table the arrow points at to serve the food once it’s ready. Once the customers are done, select their table once to receive their payment and select it again to clear it up.
The game is timed. Meet the game’s quota of earnings before the timer expires to continue to the next day. If you don’t meet the target amount of earnings in time, the game ends.
On the game over screen, select any of the social media icons on the center right to share the game and your score with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, or WhatsApp.
Basic Gameplay Advice
The game has six tables that seat two people and three tables that seat four. Pay close attention to the number of diners in a group before seating them. Diners groups with only one or two people can sit in the tables for two, while larger groups should take the tables for four.
Don’t forget to clean out the tables at the end. You can only seat new diners on a cleared table.
The game is divided into timed rounds representing days. There are no gaps between the days; the next day starts the moment the previous one ends. Each day has a
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
The key to managing this game is to make the most of downtime. Customers will take their time before ordering once seated, for instance, and will eat for a bit once the food is served. Use this time well to attend to the needs of nearby customers or serve food. This will help you manage the orders as the game progresses.
Wait times are less of an issue here. Unlike in real life, the customers are infinitely patient and will wait in line for quite a bit before being seated with no complaints. Your main concern is to individually process the customers’ orders so you get paid quickly.
Prioritize picking up payments over anything else. You’ll need to meet the earnings quota to keep playing the game.
Educational Aspects
The game is a simplified introduction to the service aspect of the restaurant industry. Indirectly, it also shows exactly why restaurants need a full staff of servers. The game teaches the value of quick response times and prioritization, as players would need to focus on serving as many customers as they can within the time limit.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suitable for players ranging from older school-aged children to adults. We recommend this to fans of quick-paced idle tapping games.
