Liquid Sort Game Background

Liquid Sort is a test tube sorting game. Move the fluids from one container to the next to sort them according to color. The game shares some similarities to the classic logic puzzle Towers of Hanoi. Both require moving pieces from one container to another in the proper order.

How to Play Liquid Sort

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin in earnest and Levels to choose a level to play. Before starting each level, choose from one of 5 test tube, beaker, and flask designs to use. Pick one to start the level.

Left click or tap on a test tube to select it. Choose one test tube, then choose another to transfer the contents of a single color there. The game is timed. You have until the timer bar on the bottom center of the screen expires to sort all the liquids in the containers. If you fail to finish when the timer runs out, it’s game over.

Selecting Play on the welcome screen allows you to play continuously. The game automatically loads the next level after you finish and only ends if you fail to finish. If you play the levels individually, you have the option to share the game on social media after the level is done. If you’d rather keep play, select Main, then select another level on the level selection screen.

Basic Gameplay Advice

You can only move liquids to containers where they can fit. Keep sorting the liquids until each color occupies its own container. If you’re nearly done, the game will do the last move for you. Unlike in other liquid sorting games, you can place liquids above others that aren’t of their color, which makes sorting slightly easier.

The game has 90 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. Playing continuously allows you to earn points cumulatively across every level you unlock and play.

You earn points based on the amount of time it took to finish each level. The faster it takes to finish, the more points you earn. Your score is cumulative and carries over even after you finish with a game over.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Be careful when moving liquids around. Once you merge liquids, you cannot unmerge them. Without careful planning, you may end up with no available moves because the colors you’re supposed to move are too big.

Pay close attention to the colors. Sometimes, the shades are too similar to be easily discernable at first glance.
