Idle Farming Business Game Review
Idle Farming Business Game Background
Idle Farming Business is an idle tap farming sim. Buy plots and generate profit from the plants you grow. Afterward, reinvest the profits you earned on the farm by buying upgrades and bonuses to help you generate profit faster.
How to Play Idle Farming Business
On the welcome screen, select the play button at the center to start the game. If you’re playing for the first time, this will start a tutorial walkthrough.
Left click or tap on any of the plots to buy them. Wait for a few seconds, then select the plot once the harvest is ready. You can also click or tap and swipe to harvest several plots at once. The profits you made and the rate you earn profits per second appear on the top left corner of the screen.
Use the profits you made from the harvest to upgrade your plots and buy bonuses.
- Upgrading a plot will decrease the time between harvests and increase its yield. You can increase the value of each plot in increments of 1 or 10 or buy the maximum allowable number of upgrades you can afford.
- Stacking a harvest allows the plot to continue generating profit without being harvested; each new yield will be added to the previous one.
- Increase the harvest adds a 3x multiplier bonus to the base value of the harvest.
The stack harvest and increase harvest bonuses are available from the store button while the plot upgrades can be bought from the trowel button.
The game continues to run while the window is closed but not while the window is inactive.
Basic Gameplay Advice
The game starts off as an idle clicker game. You click on the plot whenever it’s ready to harvest it and earn money. You must do this a few times to earn enough money to buy the necessary upgrades and bonuses to automate the process.
Each of the plots is more expensive than the last. The more expensive a plot is, the higher its payout and the longer it takes to generate a harvest.
The cost of upgrades ramps up with each one you buy. You can save money on upgrades by buying them in increments of 10 (or buying all the upgrades you can afford at once).
Select the sun and cloud to activate a timed weather condition that gives a boost to your productivity. Choosing the sun will give you a brief, 20-second boost in profit. The sun is only available once every few hours. Select the rain cloud to give you an hour-long boost to your harvest speed. You only have a limited number of rain clouds available, so use them wisely.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Your goal should be to set up your farm to automatically accumulate profit. Get the stacking harvest bonus for as many plants as you can. This will allow you to build up profits autonomously without needing to collect them immediately each time. Your second priority should be upgrading the plots to increase the speed and output of each plot. Because you make more money this way, upgrading plots should take priority over the increase profit bonus.
Once you’ve made all the necessary upgrades you can afford for the day, you can choose to keep playing or leave the game to run by itself. Come back to the game at a later time to let the game build up profit.
Educational Aspects
The game shows and introduces various types of crops, though it does not elaborate much on how they’re grown. The chief lesson learned from the game is patience; the game takes a while to become self-sustaining and you need to pay attention to it until it does. It also imparts the important business lesson of reinvesting profits. The business won’t grow unless you return some of the profits by buying upgrades.
Player Age Recommendations
The game is suitable for older children and adults. Younger children might find its slow early pace boring. Because it continues to run without supervision, it is an excellent idle set-and-forget game for idle moments regardless of their length.
