Happy Filled Glass 2 Game Review
Happy Filled Glass 2 Game Background
This is the sequel to Happy Filled Glass. The rules are roughly the same: you must draw barriers to redirect the flow of water toward the glass somewhere at the bottom of each level. Fill up the glass up to the dashed line to win. Achieve this with the smallest amount of barriers to earn the highest possible level rating.
How to Play Happy Filled Glass 2
Select the start button at the center right of the welcome screen to begin. You can also select the grid button to the center left to load the level selection screen.
With your mouse or fingers, draw any number of lines needed to divert the water into the glass somewhere on the bottom of the screen. Unlike the predecessor game, the water will not flow until you select the box-shaped faucet containing it. To win the level you must fill the glass to the level marked by the dashed line. If it doesn’t, you fail and must start again.
Use the hint button on the top right corner to help you out if you’re ever stumped. If you want to start over, select the reset button close to the top left corner.
Basic Gameplay Advice
The game has 45 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten. The number of levels you’ve beaten appears on the bottom center of the welcome screen.
Each level has a star rating based on how many lines you used to divert the water. The fewer the lines you draw, the higher your star rating would be. The highest star rating you can earn per level is 3 stars. Keep track of your lines using the meter at the top center of the screen.
Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy
Each level has a set of geometric features that would act as either obstacle or conduit. Study the layout of these features before drawing anything. Ask yourself if the water will pass through any particular geometric feature (e.g. sloping triangles, escalators) and if it can be used to redirect the water to where you need it to go. Strategically draw short lines near these features to include them in your planned path.
Ensure that the paths you make and the gaps between them are large enough for the water to flow through. An opening that’s too small will cause more water to stay behind. Paths that are too small, meanwhile, will not be able to catch the water effectively. Replay each level to strike the appropriate balance between line economy and effectiveness.
Unlike its predecessor, this game features hazards such as heating elements. Draw your paths around these to prevent the water from evaporating.
Educational Aspects
The game highlights the importance of “less is more,” encouraging players to be economical with the resources at their disposal. It also encourages them to think creatively and use elements in the environment to their advantage.
Player Age Recommendations
This game is suited for players ranging from older school-aged children to adults. We recommend this game to fans of spatial puzzles.
