Happy Filled Glass Game Review

Happy Filled Glass Game Background

This is a spatial puzzle game where you must draw barriers to divert the flow of water from a pipe on the top of the screen into a glass somewhere on the bottom. To get the highest star rating per level, draw only the bare minimum of the lines you need to direct the water.

How to Play Happy Filled Glass

At the center of the welcome screen, select the play button on the center right. If you’ve played before, select the grid button on the center left to open the level selection screen.

Draw a line with your mouse or fingers to create a channel to divert the water into the glass below. Draw as many lines as needed to direct the water to where it needs to go. Work fast; the water begins to flow from the pipe the moment you start to draw.

To beat each level, the water must fill up the glass to the level marked by the dashed line. If not enough water fills the glass, you fail.

If you’re ever stumped, select the hint button on the top right corner of the game screen. This will show you where to draw the line to successfully direct the water to the glass.

Basic Gameplay Advice

The game has 30 levels, which are unlocked sequentially. The number of levels you’ve unlocked appears on the bottom center of the welcome screen. Your browser automatically saves your game progress.

Each level has a star rating. The star rating you receive from each level is determined by the length of the lines you draw. The longer you draw the line, the lower your star level will be. Pay attention to the meter on the top center; this indicates how much of the line you must draw.

If you make a mistake, select the reset button near the top left corner of the screen to return the level to the way it was at the beginning.

Advanced Playing Tips & Strategy

Pay attention to the other elements in the level before drawing. You’ll want to use as much of these as possible to direct the water without using lines. The layout of the level’s shapes will also dictate the best places to draw the lines. Some levels, for instance, require you to pick a direction and stick to it.

Make sure the gaps between your line and the shapes are wide enough for the water to pass. If the gap is too narrow, most if not all of the water will get backed up instead of reaching the glass.

Educational Aspects

“Less is more” is the important lesson provided by this game. Players are encouraged to use only the bare minimum of lines to finish the puzzle. It also encourages players to be resourceful and use the environment to their advantage.

Player Age Recommendations

The game is suited for older school age children and above. We recommend it for players who like to keep their minds engaged with spatial puzzles.
